You’re the “Facilities and IT Guys” Now
The first time you try to plug something in and find you don't have an available outlet or internet connection, you’ll wish you were back in an office where you could just call facilities and say, “I need it now!”
Sure you can just keep daisy chaining surge strips together and adding duplexing phone jacks, but you know that’s not really the proper way to do it. And if you have an older home (or outside office), the circuits may not be allocated well or the outlets may not be properly grounded. (In my previous home, every time the refrigerator cycled on, my PC monitor would dim.)
