What Are They? If you missed STC's international conference, or if you missed the Consulting and Independent Contracting SIG progression on lots of interesting topics regarding consulting and independent contracting, you're in luck! The Consulting and Independent Contracting SIG is excited to announce a series of short (1 hour) audio-only conference calls covering the topics discussed during the CIC SIG progression at the conference. Your only cost is the toll for the call. You will also receive a copy of the relevant handouts distributed at the conference.

She has more than 19 years of experience as a technical communicator in several industries: computer software, marine transportation, manufacturing, HVAC, energy metering and monitoring systems, and the trade press. She is also a published travel writer with more than 100 articles and three books: Beautiful America's Seattle, Beautiful America's Idaho, and Those Wild Northwest Days.

Cheryl is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Society for Indexing. She is active in two STC chapters, Boston and Puget Sound, and three international SIGs. She speaks frequently at ASI and STC meetings throughout the United States and Canada.
