The meeting agenda is as follows:
- Welcome and
Introductions
Since this is one of the few opportunities to meet face to
face, we will take the time to get to know one another.
Expect round robin introductions and may be even a surprise
or two.
- Conference
Announcements
Get the low-down on Emerging Technology SIG activities like
the SIG Networking Luncheon and our booth at the Welcome
Reception.
- General Report
Our SIG Manager, Dan Charles, will present community
accomplishments for the past year, and announce plans for
the coming year.
- The Edge Report
Our newsletter editor, Tom Barnett, will get to show off our
newsletter, The Edge, and talk about what is coming
next.
- Membership Report
Our membership director, Brad Lawless, will share recent
member activity highlights and tell us what is in store for
the rest of the year.
- Questions and Answers
This is your chance to fully participate. Ask questions.
Make comments. Get your feet wet. Remember, what happens in
Vegas, stays in Vegas.

SIG Meeting Report, May
2005

Seattle, Washington
I had never seen more than three
or four people attend the annual business meeting for the SIG
before last year. We had a very nice turnout in Seattle when a
record eight or nine people attended, including quite a few from
outside the U.S.
I reported on what was happening with the SIG, some plans for
the future, and then we had a discussion of interests. Several
resource links were mentioned.
