Change in Your Membership Information 

The Emerging Technology SIG would like to be a valuable service to its members and to be a focus point for resources, ideas, and the exchange of information for technical communicators interested in emerging technology. Please continue to support the ET SIG by selecting an option that includes our SIG as part of your membership (see the descriptions of the membership types).

Add Emerging Technology SIG. If you are an STC member but not a member of the ET SIG, please join our SIG by either of the methods shown in the Join the ET SIG below. 

Join the ET SIG

Membership in the Emerging Technology SIG is open to all STC members. You can join the ET SIG in either of the following ways:

• When paying your dues. 
  New and renewing members that select a membership type other than the limited membership can select the ET SIG at no cost as part of their membership benefits. The number of SIGs you are can join with your membership varies by type, but you can add other SIGs beyond that limit for only $5 each. Student members get an unlimited number of SIG memberships.
   
• After paying your dues.  
  If you have already sent your membership renewal or application into the Society, you can add the ET SIG by printing the PDF upgrade form, filling it out, and mailing it to the Society office along with a $5 check or credit card number.

If you want to become an STC member, visit the membership page of the Society's Web site. A secure online application and a printable form are available on that site.
