Conference happenings

The Annual Conference is just days away! in addition to the sessions, there are two important SIG events at the conference: the SIG meeting and the SIG networking luncheon.

The SIG meeting is scheduled for Sunday at 4, although I'd recommend checking the conference program to make sure the time and date hasn't changed. This informal (as in "fun!") meeting will be our chance to talk about the SIG and what we want to do. If you have ideas for SIG projects, if you want to meet us, or if you want to volunteer, please stop by. Volunteers gets a free drink!

The SIG networking luncheon is a great way to meet people. It's on Tuesday from 12 to 2 in the Northern Hemisphere ballroom. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased when you register. If you don't already have plans, we'd love to see you there!

My main goal for this year is to complete the online membership database. With over 4,000 members, I think that this could be a great resource.

I want to use ASP to allow members to search for other members' addresses, phone numbers, home pages, and e-mail addresses. As a member, you will be able to specify and update which information you want to share with other members. And, you will be able to search the database for information about other members.

I can't do this alone. I need help creating the ASP pages and implementing a password system. If you would like to help, please contact me at scott@userfirst.net. Thanks!
