SIG Manager
Atlanta Chapter

Think globally,
act locally

Want to meet other technical writers and talk about online help, web design, and multimedia? Many chapters have online SIGs. The manager's change pretty often, but we try to maintain an accurate list of chapter-level SIG contacts. That should give you a good start to finding a local group.

If you don't see anyone listed for you area, why not consider starting a SIG? Most SIGs are small groups who get together and talk over dinner. If you'd rather have breakfast meetings and presentations, feel free. If it works, go for it!

If you are interested in starting a SIG, have a change to the SIG contact list, just or just want to get some SIG ideas, send me an email at scott@userfirst.net. I'd love to help.

OISIG member info

My main goal for this year is to complete the online membership database. With over 4,000 members, I think that this could be a great resource. This project was on-hold, but I am now ready to kick it off.

I want to use ASP to allow members to search for other members' addresses, phone numbers, home pages, and e-mail addresses. As a member, you will be able to specify and update which information you want to share with other members. And, you will be able to search the database for information about other members.

I can't do this alone. I need help creating the ASP pages and implementing a password system. If you would like to help, please contact me at scott@userfirst.net. Thanks!
