Reaching Out to New People...

The newsletter looks great! I'm going to try to persuade my boss to spring for STC/SIG membership for me and the other tech writer at Viking. With any luck, we'll both be joining the Online SIG soon :)

Hi Kathryn,
The Hyperviews:Online staff thanks you for your kind words and we look forward to your becoming a member!

...And Hearing From Places Around the World

Hi. I’m sure I recently read an article about making dates, etc. international — so thought I would touch base with you about the method used to date the newsletter “Fall 2001.” Unfortunately this makes me feel “well this isn’t meant for me.” The rest of the world doesn’t use
the reference “fall” and if we did it would be the wrong time of year for us... How about just giving it a month?

Yours,
Tim Monck-Mason

Hi Tim, Thanks for the feedback! You make a great point; Hyperviews:Online serves the International Online Information SIG, so we should use an internationally meaningful label. Starting with this issue, we will use a quarterly label on our issues.
