Giving thanks

This is the last issue of volume 2, 1999. It is our largest issue thus far. The Hyperviews:Online staff has worked hard all year to make the Online SIG's newsletter successful. This international issue alone took 5 months of preparation. Everyone volunteers their time and manages to help out in spite of hurricanes, floods, deaths in the family, life-threatening illnesses, moving to other cities, moving to other coasts, falling victim to corrupted computer drives, juggling deadlines at work and at school. I want to thank everyone who has been a member of the Hyperviews:Online staff for their generous help and hard work.

You have made this year successful for Hyperviews:Online.
Thank you ! ! !

I'd also like to add a special thanks to our international contributors. I really enjoyed hearing from around the world about how technical communicators work and live. I hope Hyperviews:Online can continue this international synergy. As one of the volunteers noted, when publishing on the web, it's easy to meet and work together across borders and oceans.

See you in the next millennium

Now I'm looking forward to the next volume, the next millennium. I hope all the Online SIG members, our readers, contributors, staff, and families have a joyful, safe, and uneventful (you know what I mean) New Year.

Finally, please remember that Hyperviews:Online welcomes articles and columns on any facet of technical communication in online information. If you have an idea, contact us.
