Production Schedule

DocQment is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December. The deadlines for submissions are:

• March 2002 -- Submission Deadline February 1.
• June 2002 -- Submission Deadline May 1.
• September 2002 -- Submission Deadline August 1.
• December 2002 -- Submission Deadline November 1.

Submissions

DocQment welcomes article submissions that focus on the Quality SIG mission statement:
"To help members learn more about quality processes and quality assessments to improve their technical communication, and to share knowledge of these improved processes with other technical communicators worldwide."

Email the DocQment managing editor, Jeff Staples (JeffStaples1@yahoo.com), if you want to discuss topic ideas or review your topic before submitting.

Articles may vary in length. Here are some estimates for article word counts and some guidelines for submitting your article.

• Minimum length: 500 words.
• Maximum length: 1000 words. (Longer articles accepted with special permission of the managing editor.)
• Pictures: JPEG or GIF.
• Text format: Word, RTF, or ASCII.
• All submissions will be edited for length, clarity, and appropriateness.
• Include the word count with your submission and a brief bio statement.

Reprints and Links

You may reprint original material from DocQment, as long as you acknowledge the source and send the managing editor a copy or the URL of the publication containing the reprint.
