Where do old computers go? To The Computer Museum History Center.
Did you ever wonder what happened to the Altair 8800 for which you wrote your first
user guide? If its not in your garage, it probably found its way to The Computer
Museum History Center.
Established in 1996, The Computer Museum History Center is a non-profit organisation
dedicated to the preservation and celebration of computing history. It is home to one of
the largest collections of computing artifacts in the world: over 3,000 artifacts, 2,000
films and video tapes, 5,000 photographs, 2,000 linear feet of cataloged documentation,
and gigabytes of software. For more information, visit the Centers web site at www.computerhistory.org.
