Imagine a market for ideas. You wander around the different stands, each with someone leading a discussion around a chosen topic. Two flipcharts stand waiting to capture the ideas of people who drop by, browsing through the market.
Idea Markets were created by Ulf Andersson as a format in which attendees could easily find the people they were most interested in talking with about the topics they were most interested in discussing. They are a temporary community in which people from different backgrounds not only learn from the experience of others but also generate new ideas. The Usability Idea Market for 2004 was organized by Dana Chisnell. These articles are also listed in the appropriate topics pages.
